DSNG OB Vehicles - Libya
2 identical standard definition DSNG OB vehicles destined for a client in Libya. Built around an 816 Mercedes Vario chassis, the vehicles are fully ply-lined and insulated, along with custom designed and built equipment racks and production desks. 2 ceiling mounted air conditioning units serve the production area while a standalone self-contained unit deals with the equipment racks.
The system is built with 3 Triax SD cameras but is wired for a fourth, a 32x32 SDI router wired through four high density video jackfields and a 12 input 1M/E HD compatible vision mixer. All vision mixer sources are monitored by a multiviewer LCD monitor driven from the vision mixer as well as individually monitored camera and VTR sources for engineering and production positions. Audio is covered by a 24 input audio console with assignable inputs/outputs and full monitoring of any channel. All audio sources and destinations are balanced and wired through twin 48 way bantam jackfields. Comms are via a programmable 8x8 matrix which has 3 internal panels and external beltpacks, as well as integrated UHF radio talkback. The uplink is a 1.2m KU band satellite dish and 400W amplifier mounted on the roof of the vehicle in an aerodynamic fibreglass pod.
